It starts very early in the morning around 0330 hours and ends after 2000 hours back into Dar es Salaam.
The park is well-known for its population of elephants, impalas, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, elands, wildebeest, roan and sable antelope. Predators include tree-climbing lions, leopards, wild hunting dogs and black-backed jackal. More than 300 species of birds have been recorded including Eurasian migrants such as red billed oxpecker, marabou stork and lilac breasted roller.
Pick up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam early in the morning and proceed to south of Dar es Salaam, along the Tanzania / Zambia Highway, game drive in Mikumi National Park with picnic lunch.
Late afternoon, return to Dar es Salaam City, and arrive after 2000 hours.
